Los Dolses is a predominantly residential area within Orihuela Costa, known for its proximity to golf courses (including Villamartín and Las Ramblas) and a short drive to several beaches. It has a calmer character than the busier tourist strips closer to the seafront.

- Beaches: several beaches around La Zenia and Playa Flamenca are a short drive away.
- Shopping & dining: Villamartín Plaza and the La Zenia Boulevard shopping centre are both within easy reach.
- Healthcare: private clinics are present locally; the nearest public hospital is in the wider Torrevieja/Orihuela area — confirm current provision when you visit, as healthcare access also depends on your residency and insurance status.
- Transport: Los Dolses is fairly spread out and largely car-dependent; Alicante airport is roughly 45–60 minutes' drive depending on traffic and exact route.

Car dependency and other honest trade-offs
Los Dolses' quiet, spread-out character is also its main trade-off: without a car, day-to-day life is harder here than in more compact, walkable resort areas. It's also less lively at night than Villamartín or the main beach strips — a plus for some, a drawback for others.
What to check on an exploratory visit
- Drive the route to the nearest beach, supermarket and, if relevant, schools, at a normal time of day.
- Visit in both a quiet and a busier period if you can, to see the seasonal contrast.
- Ask about noise, upcoming developments nearby, and community/expat groups if that matters to you.
